Tell a story
Record yourself, or set up the app for Grandma or someone else. In simple mode, all it takes to start telling a story is one big button: Record.

Choose who and when
Choose the people you want to share the memory with. For a future message, also choose the date it becomes available.

Come together through listening
The people you shared the message with can listen when it becomes available. Even when you live far apart.
If you’re setting it up for Grandma, you take care of the account and settings. She opens the app and tells her story. It doesn’t need to be a perfect speech: the pauses and laughter are part of it.

A birthday, an anniversary, a new beginning. Future messages add a date to listening: you choose when your message becomes available to its recipients.

The service described here stores and plays original recordings. Voice synthesis and AI conversations are not part of the beta.
Clear information
Recordings are not end-to-end encrypted: technically we could access them, although we don’t. The privacy notice explains how we store your data and who handles it.
Which phones does it work on?
The beta is for the Android app. If your family also uses iPhones, tell us when you request access. We are not offering an iOS app or a web player for memories here.
How do I join the beta?
Email us below saying you would like to try WhisperTree and which phones you use. This starts a direct conversation: access and installation instructions are arranged by email, not activated automatically.
How much does it cost?
The beta is free to use. Prices, limits and conditions after the beta have yet to be defined and will need to be communicated before any paid offer. This is not a promise of unlimited space or storage forever.
How do future messages work?
You can choose a future availability date for a shared message. This is different from managing an inheritance: the beta focuses on chosen dates and recipients.
Can I manage my account on the website?
Yes. Use your app credentials to update your name, photo and email, or send a deletion request. The website is not a web archive for listening to recordings.
Can I download or delete my content?
For exporting memories, ask us for instructions for the app version you are using. To request deletion, use your account page or the email process described on the deletion page.
What if I don’t know what to say?
Start with a simple question: “What was your favourite place as a child?”. Below you’ll find a free PDF with 101 questions, currently available in Italian.

A place for your stories.
WhisperTree is an independent project. I built it because I wished I had the voice of someone who was no longer here, and I didn’t. Today I’m working to make it simple to record, share and find your stories.
The beta helps me understand what works in family life and what needs improving. If you have a question or suggestion, write to me: I’ll reply myself.
